What’s in my fridge?
Here are some grocerys I always make sure to have in my fridge, things I use almost every day.
I alway keep flaxseed in my fridge, just in case my stomache need it. Lately I havn’t been eating flaxseed every day, but every now and then I feel like I want to help my digestion a bit and then flaxsseds are great to start of the day. Put about a Tbs in a glas of water, let it rest over the night and then drink it in the morning, I’m not saying this tastes good och anything, but it keep the digestion going.
One thing that I find really important is to always get my raw veggies at lunchtime. In order to easy and quickly eat raw veggies is to shredd them and put them in a jar in your fridge. In that way you don’t have to prepare anything in the morning and it’s a lot faster so eat shredded veggies than the whole ones. Plus if you shredd veggies really small so there’s lots of juice, this also helps your mutabulism.
In the jar on the picture I have some saurkraut…normally I have raw carrots, zucchini or beetroot.
For my breakfast I make sure to have some kind of non-dairy yoghurt. This time it is soy-yoghurt, natural ofcourse. And some alomond- or soymilk. When I have yoghurt for breakfast I sprinkle som hempseed on top, to get extra protein.
When I bake cookies and such things I use caconibs and vanilla extract a lot, so I alway make sure to have som at home - since I never know when I feel like baking.
Some tahini, dijong and sambal oelek is always in my fridge to spice up my food. Aswell as fresh ginger, garlic, lemon and horseradish. I also use sesameoil quite a bit, for the taste.
As far as fresh veggies goes I always have a whole bunch in my fridge…actually my fiancée think it’s a bit too much - but he’s wrong, one can never get too many fresh veggies, right?!
Who doesn’t love a tasty tomatosauce? I know I do! So I always keep som tomatopuree, since that’t one of the main ingredients in my tomatosauce.
And last but not least, I always have some eggs at home. Although I havn’t had eggs in my cooking lately, since I’ve made a lot of vegan food. But when I want something quick, easy and filling I love to make an omelet with eggs and some chopped up veggies.
